Recently, Ryobi announced that it will introduce its non-polarized battery technology to the 40V series, including two new high-performance batteries. Like the batteries in the 18V series, these batteries use 21700 non-polarized cells and Intelicell technology to optimize the performance of Ryobi 40V power tools and equipment.

Non-polarized batteries provide more power and longer runtime, allowing tool users to push tools harder in demanding applications. The improved energy transfer of Edge batteries allows them to run 25% cooler and last 50% longer. They are compatible with all Ryobi 40V products and Ryobi provides a 3-year warranty on them. Ryobi 40V prices are: $199 (4.0Ah); $200 (8.0Ah).

RYOBI is a Japanese brand that was later acquired by TTI for its power tool brand and business in North America. It is currently a major player in TTI's power tool sector besides Milwaukee, and is also one of the more well-known power tool brands in North America. As the world's leading DIY tool brand, RYOBI continues to innovate and lead the industry. Offering a diverse product line, convenient cordless tools and cost-effective products, it is fully compatible with the battery interface, which has remained unchanged since 1996, making the RYOBI 18V ONE+ cordless series the preferred platform for DIY enthusiasts and professionals. To cope with gardening tasks that require more power, the RYOBI 40V series offers convenient cordless products with performance comparable to gasoline-powered tools. The RYOBI 80V series launched in 2022 includes the brand's most powerful products to date, allowing users to break away from gasoline and operate zero-turn riding lawn mowers, lawn tractors, etc. with clean, quiet and zero-emission battery power.
